Marina Altschiller-Gannon
Book, Music, and Lyrics
Marina Altschiller-Gannon is a Salt Lake City–based theatre artist and the writer of Real, enough, an intimate new musical that blends humor, heart, and an original contemporary score to explore love, grief, and the courage it takes to let go.
Marina’s passion for theatre is rooted in a love for building community through shared experience and the belief that kindness is the key to creating meaningful art.
Marina is the founder and Executive Director of Dive In Productions, a learning-based theatre company established in 2014 to create a safe and supportive environment for artists of any experience level to learn and grow in their craft. She also serves on the board of Kismet Productions.
She holds a BA in Theatre Studies from Emerson College and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.
Michael Freitag
Music and Arrangement
Michael Freitag is a composer based out of southern Maine and the arranger of the new musical Real, enough. He is studying under Dan Sonenberg and Hans Indigo Spencer while pursuing a BM in Composition at the Osher School of Music.
Michael's approach blends a diverse collection of inspirations into a unique compositional voice. He views music and theater as inherently collaborative arts, whether between performers sharing the stage, writer and performer, performer and audience, or the individual and the world of influence that they draw on to create something new.
You can hear his work on the actual play podcast Green Mountain Mysteries, as well as in the forthcoming second season of the animated comedy series Deep Space Discounts. He plans to work on more musical theater projects and also aspires to compose soundtracks for video games.
